Summer Reading Program
Current CISD students who have completed Kindergarten through Eighth grades are invited to participate in our summer reading program, Wild about Reading. This program, which will be held at both the A. V. Cato and Joy James libraries, it will begin on Monday, June 8 and continue through Thursday, July 30. Students who read ten books during that time will be awarded Summer Reading Certificates and a free book at the end of the program.  All interested students and parents from  A. V. Cato, Castleberry Elementary and Irma Marsh Middle School can pick up detailed information about the program requirements and individual reading logs from Mary Olzawski, Librarian, at the AVC library on Monday, June 8. In addition to the summer reading program, both libraries will offer a weekly story time for our 4-8 year old students on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 – 11:00 AM. (No registration required to attend.)  River Oaks Public Library will also host a story time on Thursdays from 10:30 - 11:30 AM.
