Dear Castleberry Families,
The holidays are upon us and the school year continues to move rapidly. The 2 nd 6 weeks finds Castleberry Elementary in full swing of the first portion of Saturday School for 3rd graders, after school tutoring following assessments in math and reading, benchmark testing, parent conferences, TPRI, TEJAS LEE, and so on. All of these elements provide our staff with the needed background and learning information about your child, as we adjust our teaching and instruction to meet the needs of each and every child who walks through our doors. The biggest element that contributes to a successful school year however, is none of these, it is YOU. Let me encourage you to communicate with your child’s teacher for concerns, issues, confusion, or just to talk about your child. Each teacher has a daily 50 minute conference period that enables them to meet with you. These conferences can be scheduled through our main office at 817-252-2300. I also want to thank all of you in supporting our change in the arrival and dismissal procedures. This was the result of our continued effort to ensure that each and every child feels safe and is safe when left in our care. Every morning, students may enter the cafeteria at 7:20am for breakfast, or enter the gym to wait until dismissal time. Our front office will open at 7:50am to address your concerns. Thank you for continuing to support a safe and learning-rich environment at Castleberry Elementary. Also, CE 2-3’s SBDM Committee meets six times a year. The minutes of each meeting are available in our office for your review. Go Lions!!! Sincerely, Mrs. Lancarte | | |
